Why Choose B&D Appliance Repair Service in Palmdale and Lancaster, CA?

3/25/2012 11:58:00 AM by B&D Appliance Repair Service

It can be a little scary & risky picking an appliance repair service out of the Antelope Valley, CA phone book or on a appliance repair business listing for Palmdale or Lancaster, CA.  You may be looking for a Whirlpool washer and dryer repair in Rosamond, CA or appliance repair Lancaster, CA.  You don't know who they are, who they're going to send to your home,  if they are going to do the job right, and most importantly, if they are going to Rip You Off!!  I hate to say it but there are many dis-honest companies out there.  It's always better if someone you know can recommend a company that they've used and were happy with the service and the price.

I have always got the best service and price from "The Small Business Man".

I'm a small local Business Man. I have lived here in the Antelope Valley, CA since 1983 and I support local small businesses.  I keep my overhead costs as low as possible so that I can charge less than everyone else for an appliance repair.(work from my home in Palmdale, no secretary, no full-page ads in the Palmdale and Lancaster, CA phone-books, and made my own web-site, are some of the reasons)  Most of my customers are either previous customers or have been referred by one of my previous customers.  Sometimes though, you have to pick someone from the phone-book or listing without really knowing anything about them.  You may be looking under dryer repair Lancaster CA,  or Refrigerator  Repair in Littlerock, CA and you're not sure which one to pick.  Some of the appliance repair companies listed aren't even from The Antelope Valley but they have a local phone number and address to make it look like they are.

My whole purpose for writing this is to let you know that if you choose B&D  Appliance Repair Service, either myself, or my son Jeff, will be the appliance  technician that comes to your home for the service call.  We will give you an honest diagnosis of what the problem is with your appliance and our price for the  appliance repair which will be fair and reasonable.  So often I'm called out for a second opinion and after I give my estimate, the customer shows me the estimate from another company and I can't believe what I'm seeing.  Sometimes more than double my estimate for the same appliance repair! The sad part is some people don't know they're being ripped-off and they pay much more than they had to!

I've never seen an estimate for an appliance repair from another company that was lower than my estimate.

If you treat your customers the same way you want to be treated, if you're honest and you're a man of your word, and basically if you just do the right thing, they will call you the next time, they will tell their friends about you, and you will have a successful small business with "Happy Customers"!  And you'll be able to sleep at night!   It's the way I was taught and the way I've taught my son.  It's the way we run B&D Appliance Repair Service.

How To Get Cleaner Dishes From Your Dishwasher|B&D Appliance Repair Palmdale, Lancaster, CA

Are your dishes not as clean as you would like when you take them from the dishwasher?

Here are 7 tips that will help you to enjoy sparkling clean dishes!!

1.   Rinse most or ALL the food off your dishes prior to putting them  in the dishwasher. Use warm water only, NO SOAP, when rinsing.  Even though you think you've rinsed all the soap off, you haven't!  This will cause a sudsing effect in your dishwasher and leave a film on your dishes.  If you leave food on your dishes, that food usually ends up clogging the pump, spray arms and drain lines.  Then you'll need to call me for a repair!!

2.  Do not overload the dishwasher!  Leave some room so that water from the spray arms can get to all the dishes.

3.  Do not put large & tall items in dishwasher.  Wash these items in the sink by hand. (The Old- Fashioned Way).  Large items like pots, pans and skillets block the water.  Tall items like cookie sheets can block the spray arms from turning.

4.  If your machine has a pop-up tower connected to the lower spray arm, be sure not to cover the opening in the center of the lower rack.  This has to be clear so the tower can pop up and clean the top rack.  If you have a dish covering this area or even leaning over it, the top rack will not get cleaned properly.

5.  Do not use too much dishwasher detergent.  More is NOT better!  I suggest filling the first cup (which goes into the tub immediately) completely full.  The second cup is not necessary but if you want to put detergent in that one also, only fill it half way.  I prefer using the Electrosol tablets.  However, don't put the tablet in the soap cup like it says on the box.  Put the tablet on the bottom of the dishwasher under the lower rack.  This gives the dishwasher more time to rinse out all the soap before the end of the cycle.

6. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!   When you are ready to start your machine, first turn on the HOT water at the sink and wait till it gets as hot as it's going to get.  Then turn the water off and start your dishwasher.  This puts hot water into the machine from the start.  If you don't do this the tub could fill up with cold water.(Because it's usually a long way from the Hot Water Heater to the kitchen)  Cold water will not disolve the soap or clean the dishes properly.

7.   Finally, Clean your dishwasher once a month!  I recommend that you use "LemiShine".  This product is available at most grocery stores.  This will help keep hard water deposits from building up in your dishwasher and help keep your glasses sparkling clean!!  Just follow the directions.  You can read more about this product at: http://www.lemishine.com
